Sex Theme Park South Korea(18 or older!)

Humorous Sexual-theme park of sculptures: Art for the 18 and older crowd

"Jeju Loveland is a place where the imagination can run wild!" is one of the descriptors used on the Web site of this unusual tourist attraction on Jeju Island in South Korea.

I'll say.

Also called Love Land, the sculptures on exhibit here were created by artists who graduated from Hongik University in Seoul in order to break sexual taboos-to give folks in South Korea the okay to have a chuckle. A twitter or two. A guffaw, if you will. Folks in South Korea, according to what I've read about Jeju Loveland, are a bit prudish. The park is one area that is changing that.

After an hour of viewing the 140 sculptures --some of them with interactive features --all with a sexual content including depictions of sexual positions, I can't imagine that someone wouldn't loosen up a tad.

Recognizing that a gigantic stone phallus, for example, might not be appropriate art for Junior, there is a play area for kids so parents can have fun too. While the kids are occupied elsewhere, parents get some adult time.

As a person who enjoys outdoor sculpture gardens from an artistic standpoint, of any subject, this would be an interesting place to go just for the artistic expression. You know, just to see what the artists have created with their own take on the subject of sex. You know, just for the art. Really.

For a personal account--not mine, another person's--of going to the sculpture park, click here. You'll see how pictures do indeed speak a thousand words.

This is pretty cool and wild. To check out pictures of the various sculptures, go to Jeju Loveland! and scroll down the page. YOU can click on the thumb nails to enlarge the pictures. Enjoy! Some of the pictures are a little risque. Be advised!

Congo, Soccer, Witchcraft & Riot(Great Sport)

Witchcraft Rumor Sparks Soccer Riot

KINSHASA, Congo (Sept. 15) - Accusations that a soccer player was using witchcraft during a match in eastern Congo sparked a riot that killed 13 people, a U.N.-funded radio station reported Monday.

Most of the victims were between the ages of 11 and 16, Radio Okapi said. They were suffocated as panicked crowds ran for the exits during the mayhem Sunday in Butembo in eastern Congo's North Kivu province.

Radio Okapi said police tried to control the violence at Matokeo stadium by firing into the air to protect their commander, who was hit in the head and wounded by fans.

The two local clubs involved were Socozaki and Nyuki System, the radio said.

Dozens of teenagers marched through Butembo's dirt streets Monday in protest, and the regional governor, Julien Mpaluku, paid a visit to the hospital.

Mpaluku said the government was investigating.

He made no mention of witchcraft, but confirmed that soldiers had fired into the air to calm angry crowds. The shooting prompted panic instead, which became fatal "when the crowds all tried to leave at the same time."

"Most of the dead were children, only two or three were adults," Mpaluku said.

North Kivu has been the epicenter of violence between Congo's army and rebels over the last year which has displaced hundreds of thousands of people.

Human beings screwing up again! Over a freaking game! How come this crap only happens at soccer matches? Are soccer fans that jacked up or ignorant? What's the deal with this?

Anyway, just wanted to get YOU up to speed so when YOU return to work or school Monday, YOU will be informed.

Japan And Indonesia Earthquakes

Powerful earthquakes strike Asia

Two powerful earthquakes have struck the north-eastern Indonesian Moluccas islands and Japan's northern island of Hokkaido, triggering tsunami alerts.

The first, which had a magnitude of 6.6, occurred at 0902 (0002 GMT) about 120km (75 miles) north of the city of Ternate, the US Geological Survey said.

A few minutes later, a 7.2-magnitude quake hit Hokkaido's coast, 220km (135 miles) east of the capital, Sapporo.

There have so far been no reports of casualties from either country.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a warning for a 50cm (20-inch) tsunami along the eastern coast of Hokkaido and the north-eastern coast of the country's main island of Honshu.

A tsunami alert issued immediately after the tremor in the Moluccas islands was lifted by Indonesia's meteorological agency when the feared wave never came.

"I felt the shaking but it wasn't really strong," Ojihan Washab, a hospital worker in Ternate, told the AFP news agency afterwards.

In Japan, emergency procedures were put into effect.

"Many people have evacuated up on higher ground." Jan Chadzynski told the BBC.

"My daughter is in elementary school here, all her school has been evacuated to the roof of the school."

A tsunami forms when energy from an earthquake vertically jolts the seabed by several metres, displacing a huge volume of water.

An earthquake off Indonesia triggered the 2004 Asian tsunami, which killed approximately 220,000 people across the Indian Ocean.

Indonesia and Japan both lie on the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, one of the world's most seismically active areas.

Now YOU know, there are people in the world right now that are blaming these earthquakes on the firing of the Hadron Super Collider today. And hey, who am I to say they are not right? Don't forget, "2012" is not that far away!
